Signed twice on the Title page by Rebbe Simcha Shapiro with his handstamp, several more stamps in the book.
The Holy Rebbe Simcha Shapiro was born to his Holy Father Rebbe Elozor of Lancut the ‘Yodei Binah’ in 1833.
After his father was niftar away in 1865 he took his place in Lancut for almost 50 years.
He was niftar Motzei Yom Kippur 1913.
Very rare, nothing of him has ever appeared at public auction.
Stamp of his grandson Rabbi Avraham David Rabin of Rzeszow.
He was born in 1887 to his father Rebbe Eliezer, Rebbi in Boligrad. He grew up with his grandfather Rebbe Simcha in Lancut.
In 1906 he married the daughter of Rabbi Shalom Rubin in Rzeszow. He refused to be a Admor, & only when he emigrated to the USA in 1929 he became rav of the Lancut synagogue.
