Rabbi Yaakov Dovid Biderman (1808-1863)  

He was related to the Sha"ch and to the Pnei Yehoshua, and was the grandfather of the Admori"m of Gur. He was born to his father Rabbi Yisrael Isser of Mezeritch, who was among the leading disciples of the ‘Holy Jew’ of Pshischa, was the primary disciple of Rabbi Shlomo Leib of Lentshna and was a distinguished Talmid of R. Menachem of Kotzk, who treated him with great respect.

He served as rabbi in Mezeritch, Kozhnitz and Vishogrod, by whose name he is known. He passed away and was buried in Warsaw. (Refer to: Alfasi, Encyclopedia L’Chassidut B, 260). He authored  “Hagahot Maharid”.
