Rav Ephraim Halevi Billitzer was born in 1891, disciple of the Daas Sofer in Pressburg, son-in-law of Rav Yehuda Lichtenstein, Av Beis Din of Beclean. Served as Rosh Mesivta in his father-in-law’s yeshiva and afterward as a dayan in the community. Perished al kiddush Hashem in Auschwitz on the 7th of Sivan 1947 Hy”d. Author of: Yad Ephraim, Poseach Shearim and Yad Efraim Responsa.
