First edition printed during the lifetime of the author the Holy Rebbe David Twersky of Tolna (1808-1882), son of Rebbe Mordechai of Chernobyl. In his preface, the author, known as a miracle worker, writes: "We shall merit pure future joy, and an outpouring of constant blessings".

Signature: Yosef Moshe Son of R. Levy Yitzchak Grandson of the Rabbi of Berditchev and Rabbi of Ladi.  This is the signature of Rabbi Yosef Moshe Zalmanson. In the Chabad sources he is named Yosef Chaim, but here we see that his name was Yosef Moshe.

His father, Rabbi Levy Yitzchak Zalmanson, was born at the end of 1811 or 1812. His father was Rabbi Yekutiel Zalman Wallace, son-in-law of the Mittele Rebbe, son of Rabbi Yosef Shalom Bonam, son-in-law of Rabbi Levi Yitzchak of Berditchev.
