The great Gaon Rabbi Shaul Moshe Zilberman (1850-1939), the "Viershover Rov", the leader of the Chassidim of Maran the Holy Rav the Imrei Emes of Gur in Eretz Yisroel. Studied at the yeshiva of Rabbi Sholom Zvi Hacohen in Zagirsh and at the yeshiva of the Holy Rav the Avnei Nezer and was a disciple of Rabbi Yehoshua of Kotna. A leading Chassid and confidante of the Sefas Emes and the Imrei Emes of Gur. Served as Rosh Yeshiva in Warta and as Rav and Rosh Yeshiva in Kozhminka and Viershov. During World War I, he was appointed Rosh Av Beis Din of Lodz. Immigrated to Eretz Yisroel from Poland in 1924. Was a member of the Tel Aviv Rabbinate and the leader of the Gur Chassidim in Eretz Yisroel. The in-law of of Rabbi Avraham Motl Alter who was the in-law of the Holy Maran the Admor the "Pnei Menachem" of Gur.

Rabbi Shlomo Zalman Ullman (1874–1915), son of Rabbi Yisrael Ullman (himself the son of the renowned Rabbi Shlomo Zalman Ullman, Av Beit Din of Makova and author of Yeriot Shlomo), served for 20 years as the head of the community in Grosswardein (Oradea). Following the passing of his father, Rabbi Yisrael, in 1899, the young Rabbi Shlomo Zalman succeeded him as head of the community of Grosswardein, a position he held for approximately 18 years. Rabbi Shlomo Zalman was an outstanding Torah scholar and, together with his brother Rabbi Yaakov Asher Ullman (1881–1908), published their grandfather's sefer She'elot U'Teshuvot Yeriot Shlomo (Vilna, 1905), including Bnei Yisrael, which consisted of novellae and notes from the two brothers, who served as the editors.
