Letter handwritten by the pious Rebbetzin Alta Feiga Teitelbaum, the pure wife of the holy Rebbi Yoel of Satmar, with an addition by the Gabai the loyal Chassid Rabbi Yosef Ashkenazi, describing the state of Maran of Satmar’s health, his immigration to the Holy Land and additional varied matters, January, 1948.
Letter in Yiddish from January 1948 handwritten by the pious Rebbetzin, addressed to the confidante of the of the Tzaddikim of Satmar, Munkatch, Schotz and Belz, the Chassid Rabbi Zvi Pinchas Hacohen Moskowitz of Jerusalem, describing the state of Maran of Satmar’s health, the efforts to return to Eretz Yisroel immediately when salvation and redemption occur and additional matters.

In the additional lines, she recalls what she was told in confidence regarding the immigration to the Holy Land. In the final lines she happily informs that her husband’s state of health has improved with Chassdei Shamayim yet he still needs prayers.
On the back of the letter, an addition of Hebrew lines handwritten by the Gabai the loyal Chassid Rabbi Yosef Ashkenazi, who writes about his worries and about public and private matters.

The famous Rebbetzin Alta Feiga Teitelbaum (1934). She was the wife of the Holy Rebbi Joel Teitelbaum of Satmar. Born to Rabbi Avigdor Shapira, the Rebbe of Czestochow, Poland, a descendant of the Maggid family of Koznitz, and to the mother, descendant of the Maor VeHashemesh. Renowned as a great Rebbetzin, she ran many charities and did thousands of graces. After the Holocaust, greatly influenced the Hasidic world and its institutions, and took an active part in establishing and raising funds for them
