As described in the accompanying letter, the Rebbe had wished to publish this only known photo of Rebbetzen Rivkah Schneersohn in the Sefer HaToldos – HaMaharash.
The Rebbe’s sister-in-law Chana was afraid to part with it even to make a copy.
For this reason, it has remained unpublished. IN HONOR OF HER 107TH YAHRZEIT-YUD SHEVAT THIS ORIGINAL PHOTO IS NOW UP FOR AUCTION.
The current Bais Rivkah girls school was named after Rebbetzin Rivkah Schneersohn.
