The author took it upon himself, to try reason or justify all the words of Chazal that seem to contradict one another. On the 5th leaf, there is a famous map that he used to justify the contradiction which appears in Maseches Brachos (28a), regarding the places added to the synagogue after the beginning of Rebbi Eliezer ben Azarya’s reign.
