Hagaon Rabbi Shimon Sofer (1850-1944), was a son of the K’sav Sofer. Known as a great Talmid Chochom and Tzaddik, he served as Rov in Erlau (Eger). He was tragically murdered by the Nazis at the age of 94 Hy”d.
