The author the Gaon Rabbi Yisrael Matityahu Auerbach, Av Beit Din of Gwadzitz, one of the greatest authors of his generation, authored many halachic Seforim that already had a number of editions in his lifetime, and were even mentioned in the Mishnah Berurah:
He was born in 1839, and as a child he had a correspondence with the Shoel U’Meishiv. He served as Av Beit Din of Ossetia, Zyshinov, and Bosk, and for the last ten years as Av Beit Din of Gwadzitz until his passing in 1901. A follower of Admor Rabbi David Moshe of Chortkov.
