Published by Rabbi Shlomo Sofer of Beregszász, Hungary. Contains tens of letters written by Rabbi Akiva Eiger, his son-in-law Rabbi Moshe Sofer, Rabbi Avraham Shmuel Binyamin Sofer (Ksav Sofer), Rabbi Shimon Sofer of Krakow and Rabbi Simcha Bunim Sofer. In his introduction, he relates how he collected the letters siglehandlelly over the years, one by one, until he was able to publish them in this edition. Various controversies have been raised regarding the reliability of this work and it’s author, although it is beyond the scope of this description to delve into the matter.
With photostats of various letters, as well as portraits of the respective Rabbis, all printed on high-quality glossy paper. Bound at pp. 89 is a large fold-out image of R. Akiva Eiger walking with members of his Beis Din .
