The Holy Rebbe Tzadok Ha’Cohen Rabinowitz of Lublin (1823-1900), was a unique and original Chassidic Rebbe. Born into a distinguished Lithuanian rabbinical family, he was recognized as a prodigy at the age of 6, becoming known as the Ilui of Krinik. After his marriage he met with the Ishbitza Rebbe Rebbe Mordechai Yosef Leiner and became his devoted Chassid, studying under him as well as under Rebbe Yehuda Leib Eiger.

In 1888, following the passing of R. Leib Eiger, R. Tzadok accepted the position of serving as Rebbe in Lublin. His Seforim are fundamentals of Chassidic thought and remain extremely popular.
