The Holy Rebbe Menachem Mendel Paneth Rabbi of Dej (1818-1885), son of the Holy Mareh Yechezkel. Studied under the Chatam Sofer, who cherished him greatly. Served as rabbi of Urișor and Deyzh, and later as chief rabbi of Transylvania.
