Title page with inscription, signature & stamp of his famous disciple Rabbi Shlomo Zalman Breuer ”This Sefer from my rebbe the Gaon Zatza”l i bought in honor of my creater & owner Shlomo Zalman Breuer”.
There is also one signed marginal notation in his hand in which he respectfully disagrees with his Rebbe the author.
The Gaon Rabbi Shlomo Zalman Breuer (1850-1926) was the son-in-law and successor of Harav Samson Rafael Hirsch as Rav in Frankfurt. Raised in the midst of his venerable grandfather, Harav Shimon Weiner Rabbi of Lovasberény.
Afterwards he studied under Maran the Csav Sofer in Pressburg where he was known as one of the sharpest minds. From 1879 he was Rabbi of Papa & from 1890 the famous Rabbi of Frankfurt.
Good condition, few tapings in margins, new binding.
