In the margin of the page, the colophon of the writer and benefactor, Rabbi Meir Shiek of Semnitz writes: "This is a benefaction from myself the Katan, Meir Shiek of the children in the small city of  Semnitz,    Be’ezrat Hashem, today on the fifth day of Parshat Vayikrah year of 1868."

The author and consecrator: Rabbi Meir Shiek of Semanitz, was one of the students of the Gaon Rabbi Moshe Schiff Abd Regnsdorf (died 1377) – see attached material. We do not know where he lived afterwards. It turns out that Rabbi Meir wrote the page for hanging in the synagogue in the community where he lived.
