Sefer Yeffeh Mareh – Berlin 1725. First Edition of Michlal Yofi.

Apparently signed by the great Gaon Rabbi Shmuel Hillman Rabbi of Manheim and Metz, (Otzar HaRabbanim 19126), a gaon and a mekubal, one of the most renowned leading scholars of the generation of the Pnei Yehoshua and Rabbi Yehonatan Eibeshitz. Born c. 1670 to his father, Rabbi Yisrael Halperin Rabbi of Kratchin (son in law of the Megale Amukot), a disciple of Rabbi Avraham Brode and a leader of Va’ad Arba Aratzot, he was one of the leading rabbis involved in the controversy between Rabbi Ya’akov Emden and Rabbi Yehonatan Eibeshitz. He died in 1766 and the author of Sha’agat Aryeh succeeded him in the rabbinate. 

Stamp of the Gaon Rabbi Shalom Ber Stern (1834-1910) Rosh Beth Din of szerdahely, son of Rabbi Shlomo of Alistal, disciple of the Ksav Sofer and of Rabbi Yisrael Yitzchak Ahron Landsberg of Grosswardein. Son-in-law of Rabbi David Tzvi Ehrenfeld (son-in-law of the Chasam Sofer). Rosh Beis Din of Szerdahely.

Stamps of the Gaon Rabbi Yisrael Weltz (1887-1973). He studied under Rabbi Yosef Leib Sofer of Paks, Rabbi Shmuel Gottlieb of Papa and Rabbi Akiva Sofer of Pressburg. Son-in-law of Rabbi Chaim Efraim Balaiti of Tarnalia. Rabbi of Tinie (from 1913), where he established a Yeshiva. After WWI he served as Rabbi of the Pest district (of Budapest), where he also headed a Yeshiva, and became known as one of the leading rabbis in Hungary. During WWII he survived in hiding, and after the war, emigrated to Eretz Yisrael, where he was renowned as a leading halachic authority. Author of Divrei Yisrael (three volumes of responsa) and Chok Leyisrael.

Overall Good condition, some stains, last couple pages have frayed lower corners, first few pages have marginal repairs, later binding slightly damaged at spine.
